Buying with Optivo

Excited to buy a new home, but unsure of the process? No need to worry! Here’s how it works with Optivo... Once you’ve found a home you’d like to view and your viewing is booked, our sales team will confirm all the details of where to meet, and when.

We’ll help you to complete your application form, if you need us to, if the home is right for you, and then explain the details of what’s needed to complete your financial assessment.

The financial assessment is carried out by an independent mortgage advisor, and makes sure the home you want to buy is both affordable now, but also in the longer term too.

When this is done, your reservation fee will secure that home. If you are buying off plan and your home is not fully built yet, you will exchange contracts with a notice to complete when your home is ready. If your home is built, you will be expected to move in within 8 weeks.

In the meantime, you’ll need to instruct a solicitor immediately who processes the purchase on your behalf, and they’ll keep you updated, as well as us, on the progress of the sale.

Nearer to move-in day, your sales advisor will arrange a home tour for you to attend, demo’ing the ins and outs of your new home.

When completion day arrives, we’ll let you know when to meet us to get your keys, and all that’s left is to say congratulations on buying your new home!
